Seamless Travel: Inside Delhi Airport’s Rs 3,500 Crore APM Project

Delhi International Airport (DIAL) is investing Rs 3,500 crore in a 7.3-km automated people mover (APM) system to seamlessly connect Terminals 1, 2, and 3 by 2030. Led by CEO Pradeep Panicker under the airport's 10-year master plan, the driverless transit network will reduce inter-terminal travel time to just 13 minutes. This initiative is a cornerstone of DIAL's broader strategy to expand annual passenger capacity to 125 million (peaking at 129 million by 2036), ensuring world-class operational efficiency and passenger convenience.
